One of the legeandary names in fitness wear is the Pineapple Label. Debbie Moore set up the Pineapple Dance studios in 1979 and spotted a gap in the lycra clothing market. Sadly for your blogger her clothing range was a reaction to the then predominate tight and shiny look. With the assistance of Du Pont they pioneered the cotton lycya comfy look.

• A dance class by Urban Jazz Moves on 6 Feb
• A pattern cutting for Lycra class on 16 Feb
the exhibition takes place at the Fashion and Textile Museum until 24 Feb. the museum is at 83 Bermondsey Street, London SE1 3XF from Weds to Sundays
